I am setting out to Armenia this week to minister to pastors and leaders and to check on several of RPM’s ministry projects. I will be able to see firsthand how things are going and what more is needed for the churches and for the refugees they are helping.
It is a joy to see these dear Christians in Armenia who are extending hospitality and the gospel to their neighbors in need. The congregations I am visiting are daily providing food, clothing, shelter, and encouragement to suffering people.
God brings trials to the world and to His people at times. In the midst of trials, He promises, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). We can emulate God’s care for His people by caring for those closest to us with compassion and joy, and as God has given us the means and ability, we can extend that care to people beyond our immediate circles.
May God’s care be with you this week. Please pray for me to be an ambassador of Christ and His care for the “fatherless and the widow and…the sojourner” (Deuteronomy 10:18).
